It is a common saying in the secular world: “My body I own, I have the final say.” Yet, psychological theories tell us that our soul, body, and mind are interconnected. The consequences of abusing our body may not simply a physical hurt. In fact, The bible has told us that we do not own our bodies; the Lord does. Jesus has used his body to trade in our body and our soul. He has paid for us at sacrifice with one of our own. Shall we respect the awesomeness of our body by keeping it pure? “Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. – 1 Corinthians 6:19-20”
