I once hated myself for not being or doing as well as I had expected. I wanted to be punctual, but I was finally late; I wanted to be precise, but mistakes were still made. I wonder if there is anything I could do to ensure a blameless life. Yet, the Bible teaching allows me to see people from another perspective. “God has reconciled you to yourself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. – Colossians 1:22.” The Lord affirms us that there is no way that we, by our efforts, can ever live a blameless life. It is only via the death and resurrection of Jesus that we become blameless in His eyes. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and confess our sins to Him, His forgiveness cleanses us from the inside. He took on the blame that we deserve. It doesn’t mean that we no longer sin but that the Lord looks at us as though we have not sinned. “He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. – 1 Corinthians 1:8”
