As the Lord has called us to be salt and light, advising others is one of our noble duties. Yet, it is not as easy as we imagine if we want to be the righteous, but at the same time, want to get along well with the wicked. In expression, we need to be respectful. But more primitive, make sure our right motives. “Fix your thoughts on what is true, honorable, and right, pure, lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. – Philippians 4:8” We advise on the situation, but not advise to improve our situation. Pray for the advice before it is said, and don’t treat it as a way to lecture others.
