We live in a world that advocates cross-culturalism. Beliefs and values that have been developed since childhood must be re-examined in the cross-cultural perspective. The more inclusive a society, the harder it is to distinguish right from wrong. Decisions that are taken for granted in a culture may not be acceptable to another. At this time, God’s words are incredibly important. How can a young person stay pure? “By obeying your word… I believe in your command; now teach me good judgment and knowledge. – Psalm 119:9, 66.” If there are no absolute values in the world, people will be confused. We need the word of God, just as a boat in the ocean needs an anchor.
