Is “angry” right? I often feel that I cannot calm down after mad. Should I love my neighbor and not be angry with them? But Jesus had also been angry. I find that anger is a part of human nature. Though I don’t know if it was created by God or only after the fallen of man, the Bible does not condemn anger. It says: “angry but don’t sin.” It means that anger is not a sin, but anger is easily exploited by sin. When people face rejection or when a transgression is revealed, anger is our self-protecting mechanism. “When Haman saw that Mordecai would not bow down or show him respect, he was filled with rage. – Esther 3:5.” In other words, we can reasonably use our anger. When anger comes, it is an excellent time to reflect on our sinful nature.
