What is the most significant learning our youngsters can receive from the teacher-student relationship? Is the most updated news? I believe that we are never faster than online search engines. Is the skill or knowledge? Though the level seems higher, I think we are never better than Wikipedia. Some say the relationship itself has been the most significant learning. But I am sure that, in the “net” generation, our relationship is only one of hundreds of relationships in social media. I don’t have the model answer, but a saying often resounds in my mind: “Leader is a dealer in hope.” I strongly feel that ‘hope’ is the best thing a teacher can provide to the frustrated generation.
