In a world with a fast-changing pace, people without concrete life-mission can easily be side-tracked or even be controlled by other attractions. It mostly appears in the form of addiction. In other words, I am addicted when I let something control over me. “You are a slave to whatever controls you. – 2 Peter 2:19.” A sin that offers us short-term pleasure is usually alluring and attractive. There is an old saying: “Self-control” can prevent “sin’s control.” We may think that they are under our control, but later we may find that they have become chains and yokes that we can’t break. Seek help from the Lord as “self-control” is itself a Spiritual fruit.
