No matter how smart and experienced the leaders, they cannot take care of everyone’s concerns in making decisions. If we live in a closed and single-minded community, the leaders’ intelligence and experience can certainly make the community work-well. But the reality is that we are living in a diverse world, and we respect multiculturalism. No matter how smart and experienced the leaders, the willingness to listen to different opinions is the most important leadership ability. The Bible also mentions that timely advice is not only useful but also crucial for leaders. “Timely advice is lovely, like golden apples in a silver basket. – (Proverbs 25:11)” When we are in urgent need, it is a blessing to have godly persons advise us. Because they can help us avoid suffering. Yet, advice from godly persons seldom comes when we are in urgent need. Instead, they usually come when we are at the mountain-top. The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. – (Psalm 32:8).” Humility is seemed critical that allows us to grasp His blessing.
