After joining the Watoto concert, apart from the exuberant kids, the energetic music and the fabulous dances, what turned out to impress me the most was the spirit of Watoto. Their members are all formed by abandoned children born in Uganda, yet they are still confident and persevering in their attitude towards life. Meanwhile, their performances and the videos have drawn my awareness over the immense needs of vulnerable African children and families and enhanced my understanding of Uganda and also Africa.

6A Hymn Tsang

At first I was a bit shy to sing and dance at the crowded school hall. However, after the brief introduction section, I was lit by the energetic atmosphere. All students danced, sang, and clapped their hands together. I even got invited to dance with the Watoto choir team on the stage. It was such an unforgettable experience and I look forward to their next performance.

I’m so delighted to have a chance to design a traditional Chinese fan as souvenir gifts for the Watoto choir. It’s challenging yet very satisfying to have witnessed my design becoming a realia. I hope the choir can bring the blessings back to their homeland and experience God’s love forever.

我認為Watoto演唱會非常有趣和有意義，藉著美妙動人的歌聲和節奏澎湃的舞蹈，帶動同學們的熱情和氣氛。互動環節我被邀請上台跳舞，雖然有些尷尬，但是Watoto成員熱情的為我圍上草裙及示範動作給我們去模仿，令我們更加投入地和他們互動，實在是一次難忘的體驗。

Watoto充滿活力的音樂會真的是令我回味無窮。在音樂會上小朋友都分享了自己的遭遇，他們在很小的時候便被人遺棄，聽完後我感到十分難過和傷心。表演時我感受到他們的熱情，氣氛十分熱鬧，讓我樂在其中。我希望能夠再次參加Watoto音樂會。
