An Enterprising Learning Community
People with ambition often give us a competitive image. But as the Bible says, Paul well-utilized his competitive personality to reach people with the gospel about Jesus. He reminded us that in a race, everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize. Yet, he did not ask us to stop striving but to run to win instead. Competition with a positive posture can drive us to enhance our personality and sharpen our skills. Abraham Lincoln is the typical expert in handling adversity. Beethoven's music teacher once said of him as a hopeless composer. Walt Disney was fired from a newspaper for he lacked imagination. Such stories remind us that our kids usually surprise us with their extraordinary potential. We never know which of them will be used by the Lord in the future.
