The Academy Awards for the Gifted 2024, hosted by the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education (HKAGE), was held at the Wong Cheung Lo Hui Yuet Hall of the City University of Hong Kong on 11 July 2024.

Congratulations to our S.5 student, Gordon Hung Tsun Ming, who was awarded the Gold prize in the Leadership Training Programme at the ceremony.

The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education seizes every opportunity to help stretch the gifted potential of our students through off-school learning opportunities for students aged 10-18 who are currently studying in a local school in diverse domains like STEAM, Languages, Leadership, Humanities, Business, Finance and Economics.

I am thrilled that I have been awarded the Gold Prize in the Leadership Training Programme at HKAGE. This recognition fills me with immense pride and gratitude.

Throughout the programme, I have had the opportunity to develop and enhance essential skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership. These skills have not only equipped me for success in various endeavors but have also shaped me into a better individual.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Principal Ng and Ms. Chan for their unwavering support and belief in my abilities. Their encouragement and guidance have played a pivotal role in helping me discover and nurture my talents. It is because of their dedication to the growth and development of students that I stand on this stage today, ready to chase my entrepreneurial dreams.

As Stephen Covey once said, “Leadership is a choice, not a position.” This quote resonates deeply with me, as it reminds us that true leadership is not defined by titles or authority but by the choices we make and the impact we have on others. I am committed to embodying this philosophy and continuing to grow as a leader.
