I think that the sales for this year’s Lunar New Year Fair are not the focus; what matters is the process of the event itself. This time, we invited the renowned “Smiling Queen of Fencing” Vivian Kong Man Wai and the current Secretary for Education, Choi Yuk Lin, to our stall, which made our booth bustling with noise and excitement.
Although we faced difficulties during the Fair, students from both junior and senior levels participated actively, adhering to their roles, which highlighted the spirit of teamwork in addressing the community’s needs and bringing positive energy to it.
In addition, students designed sports pillows and keychains to encourage citizens to be active in sports. We set up a “Full Support for Hong Kong Team Athletes” message board and some encouragement cards, inviting the public to express their appreciation for various Hong Kong athletes.
I think this year’s Lunar New Year Fair was very meaningful, and I gained a lot from it. Through the bidding and the booth at the Lunar New Year Fair, many experiences were my firsts in life. I am grateful for this opportunity and hope there will be more similar events in the future.
5A Tsui Chung Ling Aida
This year’s Chinese New Year Fair is particularly exciting because we are fortunate to have Paris Olympic champion Vivian Kong and the Secretary for Education at our New Year Fair. The entire process—from bidding for a booth, designing products, and thinking about them to actually taking possession of the products and selling them—is not an easy job. Fortunately, everyone helped out and did their jobs well, so the New Year Fair went smoothly.
When we first thought of inviting Vivian Kong to our fair, we were unsure whether she would accept our invitation. We were really surprised when we received her reply. Everyone became more active in preparing for and achieving the most perfect opening ceremony. We are also very grateful for her presence. Every guest’s encouragement gives us more confidence to complete the entire New Year Fair.
5B Ma Leung Shek
After this year’s Lunar New Year Fair, we learned from last year’s experiences, making the entire process much smoother. Despite facing many new challenges, we tackled them one by one and gained invaluable insights. The success of this event was largely due to the guidance of our teachers and the hard work of my classmates, which made me truly appreciate the importance of teamwork.
This event was not just about achieving our goals; it also created wonderful memories that we will cherish throughout our school lives. Collaborating with others taught us the power of unity and perseverance. With the lessons learned and the bonds formed, I now feel eager and anticipatory about future endeavors. We are motivated to take on new challenges, knowing that we can rely on each other and our combined strengths.
Each experience contributes to our growth, and I look forward to what lies ahead, confident that our teamwork will lead to even greater accomplishments.
5B 易凱盈
透過今次活動，我意識到如果願意離開自己的舒適圈，可能會有自己意想不到的成果。本來我只想在後面幫忙拿貨，充當後勤的角色，但在朋友的陪伴及鼓勵下，我決定出去向人推銷我們的貨品。這一個小小的決定，卻讓我體會到了前所未有的成就感。
當我完成了第一筆交易，透過自己的推銷使顧客願意將貨品買下，我感到無比的興奮，覺得自己能夠售賣出更多貨品。隨著每一筆交易的完成，我的自信心也在不斷增長，心中那份緊張與不安漸漸轉化為期待和熱情。後面的事情我記不清了，但我記得當我將貨品給了小孩時，他們興奮地向家長展示自己獲得的新春禮物，家長也滿臉笑容地回應。這幸福的畫面，讓我深刻感受到推銷不僅是交易，更是將快樂和祝福傳遞給他人的一種方式。
那天天氣並沒有想像中那麼冷，反而是暖暖的陽光照在身上，彷彿也在鼓勵著我繼續前行。每次經過維園，這段充滿美好的回憶就會在腦海浮現，提醒著我勇敢追尋自己的可能性。這次的經歷不僅讓我超越了自我，更讓我明白，生活中的每一步都充滿了驚喜，只要我們願意走出舒適圈。
4C 鄭凱蕎
這次年宵活動令我上了人生寶貴的一課。還記得在維園年宵擺放的首天，我心情忐忑緊張，害羞的我從來沒有試過與那麼多陌生的顧客對話。起初只是輕聲對著離我最近的顧客說:「有沒有興趣來支持我們學生自家設計的鎖匙扣和攬枕….」可能是我過於緊張，以致被顧客拒絕。但後來經過老師們從旁提醒和細心指導銷售技巧，我再次嘗試鼓起勇氣，向顧客們推銷我們的產品，原來沒有自己想像中那麼困難！
而最深刻是在年廿九的那一晚上，亦是維園年宵最後一天，看見人流源源不絕，我們隨即齊心高聲叫賣口號，希望吸引更多顧客來支持我們，有些顧客更在購買我們貨品時還對著我們說:「辛苦你們、同學們加油呀！」雖然是短短的字句鼓勵，已給我們帶來很大的力量，最後順利完成整個年宵活動。
在這次維園年宵我還學習到團隊合作精神，例如在分工上有些同學負責搬運貨物、收銀和前線銷售，過程當中體驗到工作的辛勞，但這次維園年宵讓我畢生難忘，獲益良多。
4C 吳倩榕
這次年宵讓我學會很多東西，首先是一些銷售手法，我明白不同年齡層都有對應的銷售手法，小朋友可以選擇銷售一些玩具，例如解壓玩具，而成年人和青年人便可以銷售一些攬枕和鎖匙扣，特別是香港著名的小巴牌，而老人家則可以銷售一些可愛的公仔，當然小朋友也可以。
這次年宵也讓我感到很新奇，我體驗到應該如何去做生意，亦都令我膽量有所提升。從前的我不擅長與陌生人說話，但是這次的年宵有朋友陪我一起向周邊的人銷售產品，在晚上的時候，我也嘗試大聲宣傳，這是我第一次的體驗，亦令我變得沒有那麼內向了。
而令我最窩心的是一班老師和同學，大家都很團結，我們學校有很多一些老師來探班和捧場，甚至陪我們通宵達旦。特別在最後一日大家都很落力不斷大聲叫一些宣傳口號，幾乎沒有停過。這不禁讓我感到很溫暖。
雖然最後結果未必比我們想像中的那麼好，但是我認為過程比結果更加重要。過程中，大家互相幫忙，團結一心，吸取經驗。在我眼中，結果也變得不太重要了，最後這次年宵絕對係我一生難忘的經歷，來年再有，我也會繼續參與！
